Up, Close & Personal with Nicholas Plank....
Prior to his role at Orange Genie, Nicholas had a successful career as a recruiter for over ten years, where he started as a resourcer and worked his way up to Contracts Manager at The Morgan Partnership. Later in his career he changed sides and headed up a team of Onsite Recruiters at Midas IT Service.
So what made him move? Well he said the recruitment industry looked after him well but after ten years his hair started to thin and fall out with the stresses of the job and those that where left went grey, so he felt it was time for a change but one that wouldn’t take him far away from the industry he had enjoyed so much.
Five years on Nicholas now looks after all Orange Genie's key client relationships within the M25 as well as representing them at APSCO, Team and other such trade associations.
He is very proud of the company’s decision to join both Professional Passport and the FCSA which offer the highest levels of accreditation within the contractor management industry. As a result he is able to offer his clients the peace of mind knowing they are dealing with a compliant organisation.
So what does Nicholas bring to the table? Well it’s safe to say he brings quite a unique perspective on the industry having worked on all sides of the table, from Recruiter to OnSite Recruiter to Service Provider this really gives him a great understanding of both your business and your business needs, with a mission statement that reads ‘To improve the lives of professional contractors he may well just be worth having a chat with!
Personally, he loves just about anything that floats!...
Cruising and racing his sailing yacht is how he spends his weekends and he has just come back from a seven month sabbatical, where Nicholas and his wife sailed their yacht from the UK down to the Med where they then spent the rest of the summer sailing around in the sunshine, before coming back annoying us all with his endless tales and pictures…our very own Uncle Albert!
